The Smell Of A Spellbinding Exploration
Of The Varieties Of Love

TWO FRAGRANCES THAT SERVE AS NARRATORS
IN A COMPLICATED ROMANCE NOVEL.

CASE STUDY
André Aciman’s “Call Me By Your Name” captured the hearts of readers and filmgoers alike, in 2019 the love story ends with a coda of “Find Me”, published under Farrar, Straus and Giroux / Macmillan Publishers.

THE BRIEF
To celebrate the release of the long awaited sequel of the international bestselling novel, FSG Books desired to offer a new sensory layer to the reading experience that brought the readers back to the timeless landscape of Italy.

IDEAS
Working directly with the author André Aciman, our goal was to reference the nostalgic landscapes of the previous book, while creating two fragrances that told the story through the perspective of two different characters in the new novel.

REALIZATIONS
Employing new technologies for scent infusion in paper, an olfactive book mark was created to keep the reader’s fully connected and immersed in the narrative, and a small production of fragrances were gifted to fans who preordered the book as a form of closure, but also a memory to an unforgettable love story.
