Accentuating The Textural Properties
Of Space With Scent

HERE AND THERE: A SERIES OF EXCLUSIVE FRAGRANCES FOR THE OMNIA MOUNTAIN LODGE - ZERMATT

CASE STUDY
THE OMNIA, taken from the Latin “omnis” meaning “all, everything, whole, complete", is a contemporary mountain lodge located 1,600 meters above sea level in Zermatt, Switzerland.

THE BRIEF
An olfactive intervention in a luxury boutique hotel often means the usual list of premiums and bodycare, home and candle products, and custom toiletries with your standard list of ingredients. The family of the USM Modular Furniture, founders of THE OMNIA Hotel and the design communications agency P'INC AG sought to take a different approach.

IDEAS
Through careful observation of the textural and experiential qualities of the property, Studio FOLIE crafted five exclusive fragrances designed in response to various locations inside the hotel––the iconic metal and glass entrance chiseled into the mountain rock; the lounge filled with a library of books, whiskeys, and grappas; the immaculate terrace with wooden chairs cloaked in fur and cashmere; and the experimental culinary experience of the restaurant.

REALIZATIONS
Finally, in the spirit of THE OMNIA motto "everything finds its way back to its origins", the individual scents were carefully brought together into a singular wearable fragrance, an olfactive souvenir for guests to take home, integrating the timeless serenity, comfort, and memory of THE OMNIA into their everyday lives.
